CCHC is committed to doing our part in helping to end the HIV epidemic by offering a variety of STI testing services to all of our patients on a routine basis, regardless of any known symptoms or risk factors, which includes but is not limited to HIV, Hepatitis, and other commonly known sexually transmitted infections.

About the HIV Epidemic

People who are living with HIV but undiagnosed (18%) and people who are HIV diagnosed but not in care (45%) account for 92% of new infections.
Deaths from HIV are increasing among individuals over 44 years old (67%) and females (27%), yet these two groups are frequently left untested.
71% of patients newly diagnosed with HIV had made a healthcare visit in the previous 12 months and had not been tested for HIV.

CCHC receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. We have achieved NCQA Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home recognition at all three clinic sites. We are IDHS-SUPR licensed to provide Level 1 and 2 outpatient substance use treatment services.

This Health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and is a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 223(h).
